of the past & the present.
A voice speaks, sings & SCREAMS.
Before there was a Texas, people lived on these lands.
Over the years, bloodlines merged, borders changed and people continued to live, love, dance and sing.
Generations continue blending traditions of the people who lived on these lands.
Musical infusions actuate artistic evolutions which resulted in styles such as Conjunto, Chicano Orquesta, Tex-Mex, and Tejano and later we hear terms such as Techno-Cumbia, and Rock-Teno.
And still, other Texas Musicians of Mexican Descent continue the creation process, by filtering various musical genres through their hearts to excite our souls.
I encourage you to explore, research, and enjoy the music with an open heart and mind. And if you get the urge to 'tirar un grito', go with it. It's a wonderful thing!
